No Glycerol Here, Just Great-Tasting Slushies

We like to keep things simple—great ingredients, great taste, and no nasties. That’s why our premium Cocktail Blends are made with just quality ingredients and sugar. No glycerol, no compromises. Our Blends are all non-alcoholic, so you can add booze for a proper cocktail or keep it virgin without losing out on flavour.

So, why do we skip glycerol? We never have, and we never will. A recent report raised a few concerns, and we reckon it’s worth knowing about.

Glycerol in Slushies? No Thanks

Glycerol (or glycerin) is sometimes added to slush drinks as a humectant, meaning it helps retain moisture—but here’s the thing: it’s not actually a sweetener, and there’s no limit on how much can be used. That means some slushies could have more than you’d expect.

More Than Just a Sugar Rush

Turns out, too much glycerol isn’t great. Studies have linked high intake to side effects like headaches, nausea, dizziness, and other unpleasant surprises. There have even been cases where people have felt unwell after drinking glycerol-heavy slushies. While research is ongoing, we think it’s best to play it safe.

We Keep It Simple

Our premium Blends do what they do best—helping you make top-tier frozen (or shaken) cocktails without any of the unnecessary extras. They’re always fresh and made to order, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Chilled to perfection, they contain no artificial colourings or flavourings—just quality you can taste. Because the only thing your slushie should be giving you is a good time.
