10 Years, 10 Moments

Hey everyone, Lefti here. It’s been quite the year, and a big one for us at Icely Done - this year marks a whole decade of blending, shaking, and serving great tasting cocktails. To celebrate our 10th birthday, I’ve reflected on some of my favourite moments from over the years.

Taking residence in Icely Done HQ

At the beginning or our journey, we started out in a clothes factory, thanks to a family friend who let me rip out the staff kitchen. That makeshift kitchen saved us enough to move into and build a purpose designed headquarters, thati’m typing in now.

Working with Be At One

This was massive for us. Be At One is one of the best  bar group across the UK, and when we won the account, it was a real “pinch me” moment. One of our biggest customers to date, and a real sign that we were onto something big.

Partnering with Mangrove for Glastonbury

This was monumental! Glastonbury is huge, and we’ve been working with Mangrove – one their main drink suppliers - for years now. Seeing our frozen cocktails enjoyed at one of the most iconic festivals in the world is always a proud moment for me.

Drinking our Piña Colada’s at Brixton Beach

Walking into Brixton Beach and seeing everyone smiling as they sipped our Piña Coladas was a moment I’ll never forget. It was the first time I really saw people enjoying our drinks out in the wild, and it hit home that what we were doing was working.

Juicing grapefruits until sunrise

Back in the early days, I was juicing grapefruits all night for a festival we were supplying. It was hands-on, relentless, and exhausting, but it’s one of those memories that reminds me how far we’ve come.

Hearing others talk about Icely Done

There was a point where I realised it wasn’t just me anymore. Other people were talking about the business, and we were growing into something bigger than just me. It felt like we were becoming a real company, not just a one-man show.

Building our new kitchen during COVID

The pandemic threw a lot at us, but building our new kitchen was a game-changer. It totally transformed how we produce our Blends and was a big leap forward for us.

Our 10-year Icely Done party

Celebrating a decade of Icely Done was an incredible milestone. Having the team and so many supporters with us to mark the occasion -honestly, it felt like a real big moment, to reflect on where we’ve come from and also look forward to the big and exicting things we have planned.

Getting B-Corp approval

Achieving B-Corp status was a personal passion for me - it’s more than a badge of honour; it’s proof that we’re building a business committed to making a positive impact. I’m incredibly proud of this recognition, but even more so of what it represents: staying true to our values, following through on our promises, challenging norms, and doing things differently – the Icely Done way.

Launching the Icely Done Foundation

Like getting B-Corp certified, this was a big win for me. The foundation is our way of giving back and proving how drinks can be a force for good. I’m excited to see where it goes in the future.

Here’s to the next 10 years and even greater things on the horizon. A huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far - we couldn’t have done it without you. We’re thrilled to have you with us for the exciting road ahead!
